Color Guard
The Cougar Battalion Color Guard is charged with the task of presenting the colors at Washington State University football games and other special events. Their season runs from September through December. As one of the most visible components of the Cougar Battalion, the guard is required to maintain an exceptional level of appearance and conduct when in front of people. Despite the added responsibility, those on the color guard all agree that the experience is well worth it and very enjoyable as well.
Air Rifle Competition Team
The Cougar Battalion Air Rifle Team trains on a weekly basis, focusing on the fundamentals of basic rifle marksmanship and fire arms safety. The team has a complete training routine.
WSU 100K team
The WSU 100k team participates in the annual WSU 100k road race. This race is conducted in the greater Pullman area and offers a serious running challenge. Last year, we fielded two teams, which finished forth and sixth in the open division. Participation in this club helps create and reinforce the culture and physical fitness required in a leader in the U.S. Army.
